Your Fitness App's TikTok Gets Views but No Installs

September 30, 2026 · 5 min read

Views mean the first slide worked. Installs mean someone understood what to do next and wanted your app, not just the tip.

Make the posts for your app

Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

The post never asks

A workout tip can be saved and still send nobody to the store. The last slide has to do three things: name the app, say what it does in one line, and tell them where the link is. "Link in bio" on the caption only, with no mention on the slides, is easy to miss.

The link is a maze

If the bio opens a page with a podcast, a newsletter, a shop, and the app, people leave. For a test, point the bio at the store page for two weeks. You can add the other links back after you see whether the posts were the problem or the path was.

The viewer cannot use the app

A post about elite programming attracts people who already have a coach. If your app is for beginners, the hook has to say so. "Your first week in the gym" gets fewer views than a dramatic claim and more of the right people.

You are counting the wrong post

A post can get views from people outside your country, or from people who liked the joke and not the product. Look at store listing visits on the days you posted, not views alone. Then remake the posts that showed up in the store, with a clearer last slide.

Do this on the next five posts before you change the app. Most of the time the content is fine and the handoff is not.
