Carousel Ideas: Phrases to Learn Before a Trip

September 30, 2026 · 5 min read

Trip posts have a deadline, which is why they get saved. Someone is flying. They want a short list, not a level system.

See how Alma automates this

The short report on how Alma turns an app link into posts that go out every day.

A format to reuse

Title slide: the city or the country, and "8 lines before you land."

Then one phrase per slide, only the lines they will actually say:

  • Hello and thank you
  • I don't speak much of this language
  • Please repeat
  • The bill, please
  • Where is this address
  • I have an allergy, stated carefully
  • How much
  • No, thank you

Eight is enough. Twenty becomes a worksheet they will not open on the plane.

Make it specific

"Europe" is not a trip. Paris, Mexico City, Seoul, or a region you really cover. If you do not have audio for that place, do not imply you do. Link the pack that matches the slides.

When to post

Two to six weeks before common holiday windows, and any time a place is in the news for travel. Also post "save this for the group chat" as the caption. Trip carousels spread because someone is collecting the friends who are going, not because the design is clever.
