How to Market a Dating App to People Tired of Swiping
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
"We're not like other dating apps" is what every dating app says, usually above a swipe. If you are actually different, show the different action in the first slide.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeName the mechanic
- One match a day
- A prompt you answer before you see anyone
- Friends introduce you
- A date that is already a plan, not a chat that dies
- People in one city, this week
If the mechanic is still a swipe with a new color, do not run this hook. They have been disappointed recently. They will notice in five seconds.
Talk to the fatigue
- "You can be done in ten minutes."
- "No infinite deck."
- "The app should end. That is a feature."
- "A prompt so you are not inventing a personality from three photos."
Safety and honesty
Say how reporting works and whether profiles are reviewed, in one concrete line, not "we care about community." Do not buy fake profiles to make the app look full. People can tell, and the empty-city problem is better handled in public than with ghosts. See the post on launching with no users before you pretend the room is crowded.
