How to Promote a Dating App
September 30, 2026 · 6 min read
A dating app promotes itself only if a stranger can tell how meeting works and believes someone is there. Fake crowds get you one-star reviews.
Start with one city and one sentence
"People in Austin who want one match a day" is a promotion. "A new way to date" is not. Every post and the store screenshot should use that sentence.
Post the mechanic, not a couple stock photo
Slideshows that show the real action: a prompt, a planned date, a limit on swipes. Alma can draft those from your store link and schedule them to TikTok and Instagram. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeDo not pad the room
No purchased profiles, no bots, no "thousands of singles" you do not have. If the city is thin, say you are opening it on a date and collect people until matching is possible.
Send them to a listing that repeats the mechanic
The first screenshot is the action, not a heart logo. If the post promised prompts, the store must show a prompt.
Ask the first real users to bring one person
Dating apps die when one side is empty. A personal ask beats an ad until the room can match without you watching it.
