What to Post When Your Habit App Looks Like Every Other One

September 30, 2026 · 5 min read

A grid of circles is not a brand. If your screenshots could be any habit app, your posts have to carry the point of view the interface does not.

Make the posts for your app

Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

Start in Make

Post the opinion

People follow a rule they have not heard, not a feature they have.

  • "We don't do 12 habits. The app will nag you if you try." Only if it does.
  • "Missed days stay on the calendar. Hiding them is how people quit."
  • "No points, no confetti. You either did the thing or you didn't."
  • "Reminders in your words, not 'Time to be great!'"

If the app does not hold that opinion, do not borrow it for a post. Change the product or pick a different line you can stand behind.

Show the empty state on purpose

Screenshot one should be a single habit with a plain name, not a demo account with perfect streaks. Perfect demos tell the viewer the app is for someone who already has their life together.

Steal a phrase from your own users

When someone tells you "I only use it for the walk," that sentence is the campaign. Post it as the hook, then show the walk on the calendar. Specific habits make a generic app feel chosen.
