How to Do App Store Optimization

September 30, 2026 · 6 min read

App store optimization is not a secret keyword list. It is making the listing answer a search a real person types.

Start from the words in your posts

If your slideshow says "first 5K," the subtitle should be able to say that too. Alma is where those phrases get tested in public, because saves tell you which wording people keep. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.

Make the posts for your app

Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

Start in Make

Spend the title and subtitle on the job

The name can be the brand. The subtitle is the search. "Invoices for freelancers" beats a slogan. You have very little room. Do not waste it on "the future of."

Make screenshot one readable as a headline

Who it is for and what happens today. A logo on a gradient does not rank in a human's eyes, even if the keyword is in the title.

Change one thing, then look at the store

Product page tests on Apple and listing experiments on Google Play are free. Test the first screenshot or the subtitle, not five things at once. You will not know what moved.

Skip stuffing

Repeating a phrase in the description does not make you the honest result. It makes the page hard to read, and people who tapped leave. A clear paragraph that includes the real phrase is the optimization.
