How to Get Users Before Your App Launches
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
You can get the first users lined up before the store approves you. You cannot get them from a silent account.
Post the problem now
Alma can draft slideshows from your website before the app is public. Talk about the workaround and what will be different on day one. Schedule them so launch week is not your first week of speaking. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeKeep one list
A page or a note with people who asked for the link. Tell them the week. Email them when it is real. This list is more valuable than a public countdown.
Put ten people on a build
Watch them miss the button. Those misses are the first screenshot and the first post after launch.
Do not invent users
No fake chat screenshots, no purchased installs, no "thousands waiting" if twelve people are waiting. The posts can be honest and still be interesting.
On launch day, send the list the same sentence as the posts
They should recognize the app. Then leave the posting calendar running. Pre-launch was the warm-up, not the whole plan.
