How to Promote an App on Reddit

Reddit punishes a drive-by link. It rewards a specific answer in a community you did not just join to advertise.
Pick one subreddit where the job is already discussed
Read the rules. If they ban promotion, do not get clever. Be useful there or leave.
Answer the post they wrote
If someone asks how to log something, and your app does that, say how, then mention the app in one sentence with the link. A thread you started that is only a link will be removed, and you will have learned nothing.
Keep the public account somewhere else
