How to Launch an App on Product Hunt

September 30, 2026 · 5 min read

Product Hunt is one morning of attention from people who browse launches. It is not a marketing system. Treat it like a date, and have posts already running.

Get the sentence ready weeks before

Who it is for and what the first tap does. Alma should already be scheduling slideshows of that sentence, so the account is not empty when someone clicks through from the launch. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.

Make the posts for your app

Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

Start in Make

The Product Hunt page is the store page, shorter

Same promise, a real screen, the link. No fake comments from friends you scripted. Hunters and visitors can tell.

Reply that day

Questions in public. The people there will decide from the first comments as much as from the gallery. Do not schedule the launch and disappear.

Send them to a listing that matches

If the hunt says "week of dinners" and the App Store says something else, the traffic bounces. Fix the screenshot first.

The next morning, keep posting

The ranking expires. The slideshow calendar should not. A launch with no posts after it is a spike you cannot repeat.
