How to Make Instagram Carousels
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
A carousel is a post people swipe. The cover is why they stop. The last slide is why it was worth posting.
Cover
One claim in their words. Not your logo. Not "swipe for more" as the only idea.
Middle
One point per slide. Short enough to read on a phone. If you are teaching, the steps are the middle. If you are selling an app, the middle is the job, and the product shows up before the end.
Last slide
The ask. App name and link in bio, or the one action. Repeat it in the caption so the ask is not only on slide seven.
Make them in Alma when they are for your app
The link goes in, the carousel comes out, you fix any vague line, and it can be scheduled to Instagram. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeLook at saves
A save means the middle was useful. Make another carousel with the same cover idea and a new example. Likes alone will not tell you what to repeat.
