How to Make Money with an App

September 30, 2026 · 6 min read

An app makes money when a specific person pays for a job it keeps doing. Marketing fills the top of that. It does not replace the price.

Charge for one repeating job

A weekly plan, a log, an export, a team seat. Put a real price on it. Check what Apple or Google currently take before you decide the number is enough. Do not wait to be famous.

Market the paid job, not a free tip with a logo

The posts should describe what a subscriber gets. Alma drafts those slideshows from your app link. Fix the price line so it matches the paywall, then schedule them. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.

Make the posts for your app

Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

Start in Make

Let them succeed once, then show the price

A paywall before any use is a brochure. A paywall after the useful action is a decision. The post should promise that action.

Say the price on the store page

People who only wanted free will leave. That is the point. You want the ones who stay when they see the number.

Keep posting the job that the payers came in on

Look at which slideshows led to charges, not just installs. Repeat those. A larger free audience will not become revenue if the message never mentioned payment.

Money starts at the price. It continues because the posts keep finding people who want that price.
