How to Market a Calorie App Without Diet Culture
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
Some people want to know what is in the food. They do not want a mascot celebrating a deficit. You can market to them if the app allows it.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

Can someone use the app with no goal weight? Can they hide calories and see something else? Can they log without a red day? If the answer is no, do not promise a calm relationship with food in the caption. Fix the app or aim the post at people who want a strict log.
Language
- "See what's in the meal" instead of "earn your dinner."
- "A plate you can repeat" instead of "guilty."
- No before-and-after bodies.
- No "what I eat in a day" that is secretly a crash diet.
A post
"You like the pasta. Here is a portion you can picture, and here is how to log the oil without weighing the whole night." Practical, specific, done. The last slide is logging that plate, not a streak.
If this is a sensitive area for your audience, say the app is a log, not counseling. People with an eating disorder do not need your growth strategy in their face. Avoid hooks that target restriction.
