How to Market a Meal Planning App on Instagram

September 30, 2026 · 5 min read

Meal planning apps get beaten by recipe posts because a recipe is one decision and a plan is the whole week. Post the week. That is the product.

Make the posts for your app

Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.

Start in Make

A carousel you can repeat every Sunday

  1. "Five dinners. You already have the rice."
  2. Monday through Friday, one line each, not a novel recipe.
  3. The two ingredients that unlock most of the list.
  4. What you are not cooking, so the plan feels finishable.
  5. The grocery list, short.
  6. "This week is in the app" plus the link.

People save the plan. The app is where they check it off in the store.

What not to lead with

A single hero photo of a bowl. It does not prove you can get them through Thursday. Interior design of a kitchen does not either.

Dietary claims

If a week is vegetarian or high protein, say it on slide one so the wrong person scrolls on. Do not call a plan "healthy" as a decoration. Name the constraint it actually meets.
