How to Market a Meditation App If You Are Not a Guru
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
You do not need to be the teacher. The app can be the teacher, or it can be a timer with a recording you licensed. Your job in the post is to point at a session a skeptic will actually start.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeSound like a person who missed a day
- "Five minutes. You can sit in a chair. That's allowed."
- "I don't know what to do with my hands either. Start the track."
- "You will think about your email. The session assumes that."
- "No streak. If that's why you quit the last app, start here." Only if you have no streak.
Do not borrow a spiritual resume
Skip "ancient wisdom" unless you are ready to be specific and accurate. Skip claims that a session treats anxiety, trauma, or pain. You can say people use it when they feel wound up. You cannot say it treats a condition.
What to show
The length of one session, in minutes, on slide one. Beginners pick short. A 45-minute program is a later post for people who already trust you. Show the play screen so they know it is not a blog.
You can write these slides yourself or have Alma turn your App Store link into a week of slideshows. The voice should stay plain. If a line sounds like a retreat brochure, cut it.
