How to Promote a Mobile Game
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
Games are sold by a moment someone wants to try. A logo and a feature list will not do it.
Show ten seconds of the fun part
The fail, the combo, the choice. Not the menu. Captions on, because many people watch muted. That clip is the promotion.
Use slideshows for the tip, not for the trailer
"How this level works" can be a slideshow. Alma can make those from your store link and schedule them beside the clips. The clip still has to exist, because a game that never moves looks like a worksheet. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeMatch the store video and the first screenshot to the clip
If TikTok shows a puzzle and the store shows a character standing still, people think they clicked the wrong game.
Ask players to share the moment, not "the game"
A specific clip they already laughed at. A generic share button is ignored.
Do not buy installs
They will not play, your reviews will sink, and the stores notice strange traffic. Promote the moment until real people finish a level.
