How to Market a Journaling App to People Who Can't Write
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
Most people who "can't journal" can answer one question. They cannot face a blank page and a streak. Market the question.
Make the posts for your app
Paste your App Store or website link. Alma writes, designs and schedules the slideshows.
Start in MakeThe offer
- "One sentence. Then you can close it."
- "A question at night: what happened today that you don't want to forget?"
- "You can answer with three words."
- "Miss a week. The next question will not mention it."
- "No audience. This is not a blog."
Show a short entry
Screenshot an example you wrote, marked as an example, that is two lines long. A poetic paragraph tells the wrong person the app is for writers. They already believe they are not writers. Do not confirm it.
What to skip
Leather-notebook aesthetics, morning pages that take half an hour, and "heal yourself through writing." A journal is a place to put a sentence. It is not therapy. If someone is in crisis, a prompt is not support. Do not frame the app as treatment.
The last slide is today's question, visible, with the keyboard about to open. That is the download.
