Slideshow Prompts for a One-Line-a-Day Journal
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
One-line journals live or die on the prompt. A good prompt can be answered in a queue. A bad one asks for an essay about childhood.

The short report on how Alma turns an app link into posts that go out every day.
Read the carousel reportPrompts you can post
- "One thing you wore today."
- "Who did you talk to for real?"
- "What did you eat that you would eat again?"
- "A thing you put off, in four words."
- "Where were you at 4pm?"
- "Something you noticed out a window."
- "A sentence you wish you had said."
- "The smallest thing that was fine."
How to make the slideshow
Slide one is the prompt, large. Slide two is a sample answer in one line, labeled as an example. Slide three says the app stores them by date so a year from now it is a list, not a mood board. That is the whole product.
Series
"A line for weeknights" posted three times a week beats a dump of 100 prompts. People return for the next question. Keep a streak out of it if you want the non-writers to stay. The archive is the reward, not a flame.
