Best Marketing Channels for a Mobile App
September 30, 2026 · 6 min read
Most apps pick five channels and update none of them. Pick the channel where your user already scrolls, post there every day, and add a second only when the first one sends people to the store.
1. TikTok and Instagram, via Alma
This is the first channel for a consumer app because you can publish without a camera and without an ad account. Alma turns your app link into slideshows and carousels and schedules them to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads or LinkedIn.
Pricing: $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.

Not a social network. Still a channel. People search, you show up, the screenshot closes the sale. Free, and ignored by teams who only look at TikTok views.
3. One community
Wherever that user already asks for help. You cannot be sincere in five of these. Be in one.
4. A simple website
A page with the same promise as the posts, a picture of the product, and a store button. Useful when someone searches the app name after seeing a post.
5. Paid ads, after a post already works
Take the slideshow that produced store visits and put money behind that, or behind the audience that saved it. Do not start here.
If your user is a business and they do not scroll TikTok for this problem, swap channel 1 for a direct email to people who have the job, and still use Alma for the public posts that make the email believable.
