Best Ways to Market an Android App
September 30, 2026 · 5 min read
Android marketing fails when the posts assume an iPhone screenshot and the Play listing says something else. Make them one story.
1. The same slideshows, scheduled in Alma
TikTok and Instagram do not care which phone built the app. Alma writes the posts from your website or store link and schedules them. Use a real Play screenshot in the last slide so Android users see their store, not a cropped iOS frame.
Pricing: $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.

Read the carousel report2. The short description on Google Play
Those first lines show up in search. Write the job, not a company history. The long description can explain. The short one has to be the post.
3. Play listing experiments
Test the first screenshot against a clearer headline. Keep the one that gets more installs from the same traffic. This is free.
4. Country and language
If your users are not in the default country of your developer account, translate the listing before you translate the brand site. People search in their language.
5. A video only if it shows the app
Google Play will take a video. A mood film will not explain a tool. A 20-second screen recording will.
Start with posts and the short description. Add paid Play ads after those two already agree.
