Ways to Price an App

Each way fits a different job. Do not stack them on day one.
1. Alma — publish the number
A slideshow that states the price next to the job. People who only wanted free leave before they cost you support. $29/month for 500 slides, or $199/month with no cap.

What they pay now in money or hours. A free famous app is the wrong comparison if you are not that famous app.
3. Subscription when the job repeats
Weekly use, updates, sync. Two lengths: month and year. Say both.
4. One payment when the tool is finished
It still works if you are quiet for a month. Charging rent for that feels like a trick.
5. A higher price for new people later
Keep the early price for the people who already pay, and tell them. Do not learn your price from a coupon.
